Hello, I joined a small organization in Bangalore in Dec, 2016. In the offer the notice period was mentioned as 30 days. On 2nd of May, 2019, I have resigned from my organization. Today(7th May, 2019), I got a mail from HR team, stating the notice period for all the new and existing employees will be 60 days, effective from 1st May. I have already committed the new company like I will be joining within 30 days and now they are not ready to extend my joining date. Can someone please assist me in tackling this in legal way?

I resigned from my organisation in Feb 2018 and got relieved from duty in March 2018. I received hard copy acceptance of my resignation in April 2019. I was relieved from duty after completion of all necessary official formalities however my full & final settlement is pending which is a great cause of concern to me. Prior to getting relieved I had completed all clearance formalities as required and instructed to me by the organisation. I have sent repeated requests to HR and Department Head to settle my F&F. There's no CEO/ MD higher up whom I can send. Chairman is not reachable. Department Head & HR Head is the highest authority. No replies so far. What should I do?
