Ms. Saumya Kapoor is an Intellectual Property lawyer with expertise in Trade Marks and Copyright Law. She is presently practising before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. Ms. Kapoor has provided legal advice and representation to clients at both, India and global level, seeking trade mark protection as well as handling their portfolios. She advises clients on a wide gamut of trade mark prosecution, opposition and cancellation issues and also assists in formulating strategies to secure rights which include conducting settlement negotiations. She has worked in IP matters even in foreign jurisdictions and has coordinated with external counsels in other jurisdictions for filing applications and conducting pre-filing searches. She has also assisted in conducting trade mark Due Diligence and has Legal Case Management skills in her repertoire, amongst others. Previously, she has advised and acted for a Fortune 500 company in a trade mark and assisted in domain name disputes. Presently, she is engaged by clients in the technology, power, pharmaceuticals, marketing, media, FMCG, education, fashion and entertainment sectors and has also assisted renowned Bollywood directors with their IP requirements. Ms. Kapoor is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and the International Trademark Association (INTA) since 2017. She has participated in several international conferences and is an active member of diverse international committees.
